SUMMER TERM YOGA
The NEW Summer Yoga Term starts next week, with classes focussing on building core strength, tone and flexibility to help create a healthier and fitter body, whilst continuing the theme of mindfulness in our practice to aid more skillful living in our daily lives.

Yoga In The Pink
Celebrating the Amazing Women in our Lives! Stretch out to fight Cancer on Sunday 14th June

Always up for a challenge, I am tackling a 100km bike ride to raise money for 3 great Women’s Cancer Charities - Breast Cancer Care, Ovarian Cancer Action and Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust. The Women V Cancer Ride The Night bike ride takes place on Saturday 30th May from Windsor into Central London and back, over night. That’s right! I am cycling 100km when I would normally be asleep!
Am I mad? Quite probably! But as a woman it’s impossible not to be touched by the ugly side of cancer, we all know someone who has been affected. The stories of loss and survival are tragic and heart-warming.
I also strongly believe in the collective power of women and that me, my friend Sarah and all the ladies cycling on the 30th can really make a difference - by raising awareness & funds - all simply by making our legs hurt a little bit on the night!

I am going to run a pink themed Yoga class on Sunday 14th June in Bruton. The morning will include a wonderful stretching and moving yoga session with lovely relaxation and breathing practices as we celebrate the goddesses in all of us! Then there will be time for tea and homemade cake by the river Brue and if weather permits, afterwards I would like to walk up to the Dovecote on the hill for a moment of thanks and remembrance to all the amazing women (and men!) that have been in our lives. I hope some of you will be able to join me for this.

Timings for the day are:
Yoga will be 10.00-11.30am
Tea and Talking will be from 11.30am
and the Dovecote Walk will start at 12.30pm

So please come along. It's open to all, so invite your friends and family to come too!

If you can't make the yoga but want to come for the tea or the walk, please do.
The class is by donations (suggested donation of £10).

You are invited to join Anna and Sorrel on this exclusive mountain top retreat for a week of revitalising yoga, meditation and mindfulness. The retreat venue is a hidden gem of southern Spain, family run with luxury accommodation and deliciously nutritious home cooked food, all set in the beautiful surroundings of the olive & almond orchards of the foothills of Andalucía, near Marbella. It is a very special place with a wonderful relaxed and welcoming feel.

Teachers, Anna & Sorrel will guide you through a week of yoga, mindfulness and meditation, taught on the terraces with stunning views, allowing you to immerse yourself in your practice and the surroundings, so you can spend time rebalancing in the Spanish sunshine.

The sessions are suitable for all ages and abilities and the group will be small for lots of individual attention.

The week includes 12 yoga sessions (twice daily yoga), 6 meditation/guided walks (all optional), 3 yummy veggie meals a day (the food is first class!), all tea/coffee/water and shared transfers. Flights and insurance are not included.

Optional extras include: massages, horse riding, day trips to the local village and to Old Town Marbella.

REVITALISING YOGA IS COMING TO WEST CAMEL THIS SPRING!

Come and join this new yoga class starting later this month in West Camel, Somerset on Tuesday mornings. The class is suitable for all levels and will cover yoga postures, breathing, core strength and relaxation techniques, all in the beautiful surroundings of the village hall at West Camel.

The Davis Hall is a modern state-of-the-art hall set amongst lovely fields and is located close to the A303.

Finding Your Feet - Foundations in Yoga


It has been said that Happy Feet equals Happy Body and Happy Mind! So join me for a morning of Yoga, exploring our relationship with our feet and how they act as the foundation and stability in standing postures. We will also look at common postural misalignments that start at the feet and ways we can look after our feet as we head into winter, including self-massage and other useful homecare tips. Your feet will never feel so loved!

Everyone is welcome, no experience is necessary but please bring along a healthy fascination for your feet!

DATE: Saturday 1st November
TIME: 10am–1pm (this will include a short break mid-way, all refreshments included)
VENUE: Pen Selwood Village Hall, nr Wincanton
COST: £20, £18 in advance
